BOBBY!!!

A majority of people who are online going on and on about how missed Whitney Houston will be and what a saint she was are full of shit. Where were you "fair weather fans" when she needed you? Did you tune in to watch her dysfunctional family reality show and laugh? I'm pretty sure it was obvious she needed help, but nobody around her offered any and the fans sat idly by waiting for her next train-wreck.

"No, I'm not a drug addict, and neither is my husband. If that were so, you'd get a lot less work out of me. It would show in the performances and in the work."

That's an actual quote from Whitney. Bullshit, you were definitely on drugs and it's because you took your life down the wrong road. You're gone and nothing can be done to change that, but fans - don't avoid the fact that she messed up. Don't tell your children she was "someone to look up to", unless you want your child to be a cracked up loser.

The fans who call her a role-model are deluding themselves. Why must society raise celebrities to the level of damn near god-hood? She was a person who had a vocal gift and instead of using it she used drugs and ruined her life.

Journalism and social media have gone berserk - if you have any common sense don't feed into it.
“God gave me a voice to sing with, and when you have that, what other gimmick is there?” - Whitney Houston
